Top performance venues

Église St Clotilde

This gothic church has excellent acoustics, as well as a famous organ originally constructed by the renowned French organ maker Cavaillé-Coll, and played by composer César Franck.

Église Madeleine

Sacred choirs and classical orchestras can perform as part of the regular weekday concert series which attracts great audiences. The church’s organ, made by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, was once played by Saint-Saëns and Fauré.

Chartres Cathedral

Just 90 minutes from Paris, this prestigious cathedral has an excellent reputation as a concert venue for orchestras and choirs.

Église St Germaine-des-Prés

Good quality sacred choirs can perform at mass or at an individual concert.

Église St Sulpice

Enjoy a Sunday afternoon concert or undertake a full evening concert. This church boasts a grand organ manufactured by Cavaillé-Coll.

Hôpital Robert Debré

Mid-week concerts at this centrally-located children’s hospital are great for smaller bands and choirs and a rewarding experience for groups.

The German Church

We have used this venue for a number of years with great success. Well known for its excellent acoustics, the German Church is used by many orchestras and choirs to make professional recordings. Unlike the majority of Paris church venues, groups can perform mixed and secular programmes.

Rothschild Foundation (Maison de Retraite et de Gériatrie)

Secular groups can perform in this large, residential centre to a sizeable, appreciative audience.

FIAP Jean Monnet

This accommodation and cultural centre boasts an excellent events programme which includes concerts given by groups staying here.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Set in a prime location within the gardens of the Palais du Luxembourg, this venue regularly attracts good audiences.

Parc Montsouris

Concerts are held on the covered park bandstand, which overlooks the lake in this park which is popular with families and students alike.

Georges Brassens Bandstand

A covered, modern bandstand which hosts performances for a largely local audience.

Parc de Choisy

This large park, well known for its fountains and leafy walkways, boasts a large rectangular stage, changing facilities and auditorium-style seating.

Disney Performing Arts OnStage

What could be more exciting than performing on a Disney stage in front of an international audience? Disney Performing Arts OnStage gives the opportunity to instrumental, vocal, dance, parade groups and marching bands to do just that! The Disney Performing Arts OnStage programme offers performance opportunities to amateur groups, with the aim of giving participants a glimpse into Disney’s world of entertainment by offering them a unique, once in a lifetime experience!

A co-ordination team is assigned to each group to guide them through organising their visit and preparing for their show, as well as taking care of them on their arrival and for the performance itself. A Disney technical team are also on-hand to add those finishing touches and make sure everything runs smoothly for a magical experience they will never forget!

Participation in the Disney Performing Arts OnStage programme is subject to audition. For details, please contact your Music Tour Travel Advisor.

Disney Performing Arts Workshops

Disney Performing Arts Workshops are founded on a strong ethos for performance development, giving students the opportunity to reach for the stars through hands-on sessions with Disney professionals.

‘Intermediate Vocalist’ is a challenging 90-minute workshop designed to initiate and inspire young singers, and take them on an exciting journey from basic musical literacy and the progressive development of vocal technique, to the delights of live performance.

Preliminary warm up exercises embrace posture, breath control, diction and voice production. Stylistic analysis and interpretation of one and two part melodic material drawn from Disney classics will follow. Workshops are also available for Dance and Musical Theatre groups.

Seine River Boat Cruise

An enjoyable river cruise along the Seine offers a relaxing and unique perspective on the iconic sights of Paris. As the boat glides past landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower, students can learn about each one from the French (or English) commentary on their headsets.

Eiffel Tower

Paris’ best-known monument has outstanding city views, which on a clear day can stretch for 42 miles. On a French language school trip to Paris, students can identify many of the capital’s iconic landmarks from its viewing platforms, such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Seine River, and Sacré-Cœur.

Paris Montparnasse – Top of the City

This 196m tower has shorter queues than the Eiffel Tower and a fabulous view of Paris. The viewpoint tables clearly mark the city’s many famous monuments. There are also a number of audio-visual and interactive facilities to help build language skills and enhance their knowledge of Paris, as well as downloadable quizzes in English and French.

Montmartre & Sacré Coeur

Montmartre provides an opportunity for students to practise their language skills with its many street stalls and street artists, shops and cafés. Once a meeting place for artists in the late 19th and early 20th century, your group can also view artists painting portraits and caricatures for the tourists and enjoy a spectacular view of Paris from the steps of the Sacré Coeur.

Paris Opera Tour

An architectural masterpiece, the Palais Garnier is known worldwide. We can arrange a guided tour which provides an overview of the history, architecture and current operatic performances taking place.

Le Stade de France

As part of our Paris language school trips, take your students behind-the-scenes of France’s premier stadium. Take a tour, in French or English, of the players’ tunnel, changing rooms, security facilities, pitch and photo museum.

Notre Dame Cathedral

After 5 years of restoration, this stunning cathedral is reopening its doors following the devastating fire in 2019. This stunning cathedral, like all medieval churches, was painted on the inside so a largely illiterate population could learn the Bible stories. The use of colour was meant to glorify God and breathe life into the scriptures. This stunning and imposing building is a must-see in Paris, particularly as the cathedral has witnessed many important ceremonies for Christianity and the history of nations.

Centre Pompidou

Closing Summer 2025 until 2030

On Paris language school trips, take a guided tour of this world-famous art gallery, renowned not only for its impressive collection but also for its bold, modern French architecture. Outside, the lively square comes alive with street artists, musicians, and performers, offering students a vibrant taste of local culture. Just a short stroll away, the playful Stravinsky Fountain, with its colourful moving sculptures, adds an extra highlight to this dynamic and inspiring visit.

Musée de la Musique

The museum’s permanent collection is organised into five areas: a chronological circuit will take your students on a tour through western music, from the 17th century to the present day, and a geographical circuit for music originating from outside Europe. The circuit’s collection and its original design ensures an innovative visitor experience.

Disneyland® Paris

Both Disneyland® Park and Walt Disney Studios® Park provide a great environment for your students to explore together and bond as a group on their school trip to Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland® Park
Explore five themed lands filled with Disney classic stories: adrenalin packed thrill rides such as Big Thunder Mountain, Disney classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and Dumbo the Flying Elephant and many opportunities to meet your favourite Disney characters.

Walt Disney Studios® Park
Step through the Studio gates and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of movies, animation and television. Find out how Disney creates the magic and feel what it’s like to be star of stage and screen.

Fragonard Perfumery

Discover the art of French perfume-making with a free guided tour of the renowned Fragonard Perfumery, available in your choice of French or English. Students will explore the museum to learn about the history and techniques of fragrance production, from the extraction of raw materials to the creation of iconic scents.

Guided Tour of Paris

A tailor-made coach tour of Paris that includes a dedicated French or English-speaking guide, who will help with pronunciation and knowledge of the many sights of Paris. One of our groups’ favourites is the evening tour of the Paris Illuminations. We can arrange walking tours too.

Louvre Museum

Probably the most famous museum in the world and home to some of the finest collections of antiquities, sculpture and art. It is the ideal place for students to see the prominent role that art plays in French culture. The museum is also home to cafés and shops where students can practise language skills too.

Musée Gourmand du Chocolat - Choco Story

Take your students on a sweet journey through time at the Musée Gourmand du Chocolat, where they’ll discover chocolate’s rich 4,000-year history, from ancient civilisations to today’s global industry. Interactive exhibits and demonstrations reveal the evolution of chocolate-making techniques, showcasing everything from traditional tools to modern production methods.

Parc Astérix

This typically French theme park is home to over 30 outside attractions, all based around the famous Astérix comic-strips. Parc Astérix is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and incorporates rides and themes from historic ancient cultures such as the Romans and the Gauls.

Parc Astérix also offers live shows and entertainment, animated figures, arts and crafts, reconstructions, a dolphin show, special effects, restaurants and shops. This is a great opportunity for students to interact at this French theme park.

Theatre in Paris - French play with English subtitles

Take a step inside a traditional Parisian theatre and spend an evening with locals at a French play with English subtitles. A dedicated host will meet you at the theatre, introduce you to the play and venue and take you to your seats. Groups also have the opportunity to take part in a theatre workshop before the show. Have fun learning traditional French performance techniques before seeing them live in action on stage that evening!
