School Trips to Salzburg

As a European capital of music, Salzburg is ideal for your music school trip. Students can explore the city's rich musical heritage and perform at a selection of famous venues.

Choirs, orchestras, and bands are welcome to perform at the many venues in Salzburg. The Basilica of St Michael - also known as the church in the Sound of Music's wedding scene - hosts choral performances throughout the year. As does the Salzburger Dom: the 17th century cathedral where Mozart was baptised.
Students can also perform outdoors against Austria's stunning alpine scenery. Schönau am Königsee and St Gilgen are both home to outdoor bandstands and regularly host concerts. Musicians are often welcome to play in the Mirabell Palace gardens, too.

NST can also arrange performances in local schools, retirement homes and community venues. And choirs and orchestras are often invited to play in the Vigaun Spa concert hall.

Delve deeper into Salzburg's musical history with a visit to Mozart's birthplace. The family apartment is now home to a museum showcasing a selection of Mozart's possessions - including some of his instruments. Head out of the city and relax in the alpine countryside. Boat trips around Königssee and Zell am See are great for settling pre-performance nerves!

You will be offered the option to work with a Music Tour Manager. It's their job to accompany and assist you throughout your trip - including at your concerts. A music trip to Salzburg can be tailored around any performances, as well as the individual needs of your group. Get in touch with the team today to discuss your options!
