Lake Banyoles Boat Trip

The boat trip in Banyoles is recommended for all groups and it is ideal for those who visit Figueres and then contimue onto Girona.

On board the boat Tirona, you will discover an idyllic landscape and observe the beauty of the lake, one of the most unique and special places in the province. The 40 minute cruise is available in several languages and explains the most interesting and relevant elements of the lake and its natural and cultural environment.

Dalí Theatre & Museum

The spectacular Dalí museum will astound groups with its surrealism, from its exterior architecture to the paintings, sculptures, furniture and 3D collages within.

This museum contains the broadest range of work from Salvador Dalí’s career and the building of the museum is as surreal as the exhibits within. One room even turns into Mae West’s face when viewed from a small stage.

La Fageda Dairy Farm & Producer

This non-profit organisation supports social integration of handicapped people in the region by providing employment. Tour the dairy farm, which provides milk for a range of products including yogurts, desserts and drinks, and learn about the milking operation and health and welfare of the animals.

Barcelona

The magnificent city of Barcelona is a highlight for the majority of groups staying on the Northern Catalonian coast. As many of the resorts are within easy reach, then groups can include visits to La Sagrada Familia, Montjuïc, Nou Camp, Parc Güell, Las Ramblas …and many more

Montjuïc

This historic, hilly area provides the best views of Barcelona. Students can explore its wide range of attractions, including the Olympic Stadium and the famous Spanish Village, Poble Espanyol, as well as artisan workshops and tapas bars. The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc offers a spectacular display of colour, light, movement, water and music too!

La Sagrada Família

Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece remains a popular tourist attraction and a world renowned emblem of the city. Students will be amazed by its sheer size and its architectural complexity.

Based on Gaudí’s plans of 1954, this stunning building is still under construction and is due to be completed in 2026.

Las Ramblas

Students will enjoy wandering along this famous street with its variety of shops, cafés, market stalls and street entertainers.

Park Güell

Take a visit to the famous park which was designed by Antonio Gaudí. Beautiful examples of his extraordinary work can be seen here. The serpentine pathways take you on a journey past a magnificent fusion of architecture and natural forms, benches shaped like dragons, a gatehouse topped with fly agaric mushrooms and Casa Batlló’s melting façade, resembling skulls, masks and sharks teeth. The park’s high-point also provides fabulous views of the city.

Educational resources

Free Go Explore journals

We understand that learning resources form an important part of a language tour. Our free Go Explore educational resources are a great tool for pupils to record their language experience and build their confidence when exploring another culture, language and location.

With space to add information, pre-visit notes, a daily journal about what they’ve seen and learnt and space for relevant vocabulary our journals are useful for assisting in controlled assessment preparation and is a valuable memento of time spent abroad.
