School Ski Trips to Gerlitzen

Gerlitzen is an ideal ski resort for beginners and improving skiers, making it a perfect choice for school ski trips. The resort has excellent areas for beginners to practise their skills, as well as safe runs and well-groomed slopes.

Translated from "Fire Mountain," Gerlitzen is a mountain just under 2,000 metres and is renowned for being one of Austria's best vistas. From the top, the ski resort lies at your feet, and you can ski down in all directions, offering a unique and memorable experience.

Why Gerlitzen is an excellent choice for a school ski trip

Gerlitzen has a modest altitude and the winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,000m and 1,911m. This ski resort is ideal for school trips and beginners because:

  • Slopes are wide and safe, making it perfect for beginners. The resort has a generous 13.1km of beginner slopes and practice lifts near the base. The slopes are well-manicured and are an ideal environment for students to build confidence.
  • Après ski activities to enjoy
  • Gerlitzen is known for having some of Austria's best views. From the summit, your students can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding area before skiing back down.

Substantial investment has been made to produce artificial snow, meaning that Gerlitzen is usually open from early December until late April.
