FAQs

How can a school ski trip support my school's enrichment priorities?

A school ski trip to Italy brings together challenge, achievement and adventure in a way that's difficult to recreate in the classroom. Students step out of their comfort zone, experience a new culture and build confidence through shared experiences.

Through Sport & Physical Activity, they'll develop new skills, improve coordination and work towards personal goals on the slopes. Through Nature, Outdoor & Adventure, they'll experience mountain life, embrace new environments and build resilience along the way.

Can NST tailor a school ski trip to suit my group?

Yes. We know every school is different, so we offer three flexible ski packages with different levels of support. Whether you're looking for a more independent experience or a fully hosted trip, we'll help you choose the option that works best for your group and budget.

Our ski specialists will guide you through the process and help create a trip that delivers on your objectives from day one.

How does NST keep students safe on a school ski trip?

Safety sits at the heart of everything we do. NST's independently audited Safety Management System includes 24-hour emergency cover, audited accommodation and transport, plus excursion and school visit assessments.

We're also LOtC Quality Badge assured, giving schools confidence that our trips meet recognised standards for learning outside the classroom.

How can schools make a ski trip to Italy more affordable?

We're committed to making ski trips accessible for as many students as possible. That's why we offer a range of resorts, accommodation options and package choices to suit different budgets.

For schools looking to maximise value, our Flexi Ski programme rewards flexibility with our lowest available prices, helping more students experience the benefits of a school ski trip.

Can teachers visit an Italian ski resort before travelling with students?

Absolutely. Our teacher preview visits allow group leaders to experience their chosen resort before departure. It's a great opportunity to see the accommodation, explore the ski area and get familiar with the surroundings.

NST includes three nights' half-board accommodation for two people and a two-day lift pass, helping you prepare for your trip with complete peace of mind.

Why is Italy such a popular destination for school ski trips?

Italian resorts offer great value, making a high-quality ski trip for students more accessible. The laid-back atmosphere is ideal for student groups, and extends to the lively après ski options, ideal to keep your students entertained in the evenings

The warm, family-focused hospitality and delicious local cuisine are key parts of the experience. The mountain restaurants serve a selection of mouth-watering Italian favourites, from artisan pasta to irresistible authentic pizza. Your students are guaranteed to eat well.

With well-manicured slopes, there are options for beginners to develop their skiing abilities, along with a fantastic range of blue, red, and black runs for students who want a more challenging experience.
