FAQs

How can a school ski trip support my school's enrichment priorities?

A school ski trip combines challenge, achievement and shared experiences in an environment that's completely different from students' everyday routines.

Through Sport & Physical Activity, students develop new skills, improve coordination and work towards personal goals on the slopes. Every lesson builds confidence, perseverance and a sense of achievement.

Through Nature, Outdoor & Adventure, students experience life in a mountain environment, adapt to unfamiliar surroundings and build resilience as they take on new challenges.

Can NST tailor a school ski trip to suit my group?

Absolutely. Every group is different, so we offer flexible ski packages with varying levels of support. Whether you'd prefer a self-guided trip, a meet-and-greet service or a fully hosted experience, we'll help you find the right option for your group and budget.

Our ski experts will work with you to build a package that meets your objectives and takes the stress out of planning

How does NST keep students safe on a school ski trip?

Student safety is our top priority. NST's independently audited Safety Management System includes 24-hour emergency cover, audited accommodation and transport, plus excursion and school visit assessments.

We're also LOtC Quality Badge assured, giving schools added confidence that our trips meet recognised standards for safety and learning outside the classroom.

Are school ski trips affordable for schools and families?

Yes. We offer a range of resorts, accommodation options and travel packages to suit different budgets.

For groups looking to maximise value, our Flexi Ski programme offers our lowest possible prices. By giving us flexibility on the final resort selection, you'll benefit from significant savings while still enjoying the same high-quality NST ski experience.

Can teachers visit a ski resort before travelling on their school trip?

Yes. Our teacher preview visits give group leaders the opportunity to experience their chosen resort before travelling with students.

Explore the accommodation, assess the ski area and get a feel for the resort first-hand. NST includes three nights' half-board accommodation for two people and a two-day lift pass, helping you book with confidence.

Why is France such a popular destination for school ski trips?

France combines world-class skiing with easy access from the UK, making it one of the most popular choices for school groups. High-altitude resorts, excellent snow conditions and extensive ski areas offer something for every ability level.

Students can also experience French culture beyond the slopes, from local cuisine to practising their language skills in real-world situations.
