Take your group on a self guided visit to the Design Museum, to view designs from around the world including architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, product and transport. Design is a continually evolving subject which the Design Museum explores through its exhibitions programme, permanent collection, learning and research activities.

The world’s largest collection of decorative and applied arts. Some areas focus on the history of costume and are of particular interest to pupils studying textiles. The holdings of ceramics, glass, costumes, jewellery, furniture, sculpture, prints and photographs are among the largest and most comprehensive in the world.

On our London theatre trips for schools, you students will get the opportunity to go backstage at Britain’s largest theatre complex to discover the secrets behind bringing productions to the stage. Your group will get exclusive access to unseen parts of the building, including the workshops where sets and props are created, on a tour led by an experienced and enthusiastic guide.

Featuring over 12,000 original items from the unique Robert Opie Collection, here your group will discover how well-loved brands have evolved through creative use of packaging and advertising and how the public has evolved with them. Free worksheets available.

Visit this striking stadium to gain an invaluable insight into modern engineering. Take a 90-minute tour, see England’s changing rooms, the players’ warm-up zone, the Royal Box and much more. The View from The Shard offers a unique education experience – it is the only place where students can see the entire city at once; both old and new! Two high speed kaleidoscopic lifts will transport your group to the viewing platforms on Level 69 and Level 72 where you can encourage your student’s fascination with the history of London and enjoy the unparalleled 360 degree views.

Educational visits can support learning across both the National and London Curriculum, including History, English, Maths, Geography, and Art and Design.

At an additional cost, these enhanced in-pod experiences are delivered by our education hosts and include interactive activities and interesting facts on London's iconic skyline.

Developed in collaboration with education specialists, teachers can book either a KS2/KS3 version.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is the perfect destination for persons of any age! You will be able to admire breath-taking views of London from the UK's tallest sculpture, from stunning viewing platform with floor to ceiling windows & from the outside observation walkways suspended 80m above the ground. You will also experience the adrenaline of riding the world's tallest, longest and fastest tunnel slide of 178 metres length. You will travel through light and dark sections, loops and gentle curves at a speed of up to 15 miles per hour!

Britain’s spectacular museum of modern and contemporary international art. Themes include landscapes, environment, still life, action, and the body. The viewing level offers awe-inspiring 360ᵒ views of the London skyline from high above the River Thames, whilst The Tanks celebrate new art and showcase performances, interactive art and video installations.

Contemporary art by largely unseen UK artists and established international artists rarely exhibited in the UK. The Saatchi Gallery acts as a launchpad for lesser-known artists and houses brave, contemporary art. Well-proportioned rooms with high ceilings showcase works famed for courting media controversy and gaining extremes of critical reaction. This gallery is ideal for challenging more traditional ways of thinking.

State of the art interactive displays, compelling stories, iconic cars and motorcycles – let the Silverstone Experience take you on a journey through the past, present and future of Silverstone and British motor racing! Workshops are also available at the Silverstone Experience and are designed to provide curriculum-related, hands-on opportunities for students to extend their learning in STEM subjects. Workshops are led by trained facilitators and are based in one of the Learning Studios overlooking the famous Silverstone Circuit. Also, at the end of your visit, experience the thrill of speeding around Silverstone alongside your racing heroes in a dramatic, immersive show ‘The ultimate lap of Silverstone’ with commentary by Murray Walker.

Over the last 17 years, Fashion Enter has given students a unique and invaluable insight into the world of fashion and garment production.

The two-hour site visit can be tailored to suit the group's studies, and includes:

  • The manufacturing process of a garment - from initial idea right through to delivery (The Garment Life Cycle)
  • The supply chain and challenges a supplier faces
  • Critical path
  • What makes the factory SMETA approved
  • Tour of the factory - review of the cutting table, industrial machines flat bed and over-locker, quality control stations
  • How long it takes to make a garment
  • How a garment is costed
  • Tour of the fashion studio - patterns, grading, toiles, sampling and small production runs

At its peak, Battersea Power Station was supplying a fifth of London's electricity. After decades of sitting derelict, it is now being redeveloped into a new destination for London. Groups will receive a presentation from a dedicated Sustainability employee who will talk about how the development is using resources responsibly and minimising our impact on climate change. Educational workshops from KS2 - A Level are available. Workshops can be tailored to the group's requirements and topics include the history of the site; it's development to what it has become today, and the plans for the future, moving from fossil fuels to renewable energy, understanding electricity, urban redevelopment and community issues.

We recognise the growing popularity of theme parks as well as the need to add educational value to these visits. We recommend the following talks, which are available at Thorpe Park: Marketing, Human Resources, Customer Service, Health & Safety, ICT, Design & Technology. The talks last for around 45 minutes with time for questions at the end, and supporting literature may be available, after the talk, upon request.

Sky Up Academy Studios is an immersive learning experience that places young people centre stage as media creators.  

At their bespoke TV studios, your students will use cutting-edge digital technology to create their own content. Students will work in small teams, taking on real-life media roles to create a news report or trailer. Working alongside a team of experts, they will see their ideas come to life.

A visit to Sky Up Academy Studios will give your class a VIP peek behind-the-scenes at Sky, helping develop their confidence and build essential skills like Creativity, Communication and Collaboration.

For the ultimate STEM engagement trip, take your group to Power Up and get straight into the action in the hands-on gaming zone. Featuring consoles and video games from the past 50 years, from Pong to Pacman, Minecraft to Mario. There’s something for everyone in your group at Power Up.
