From iconic landmarks to lively markets and cafés, Paris offers endless opportunities for students to engage with native speakers and immerse themselves in authentic French culture.

Why choose Paris for French language trips?

Known as the "City of Light" (La Ville Lumière), Paris language school trips offer students a unique blend of culture, history, and real-life language immersion. There are plenty of opportunities to practise their conversational French and listening skills at every turn.

Students can chat with locals at bustling market stalls, order their favourite crêpe at a street café, or ask for directions on the Métro, gaining confidence along the way. Of course, no French language school trip to Paris would be complete without visiting some of the world’s most famous landmarks.

From the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre to Montmartre and Versailles, each provides a perfect backdrop for students to deepen their understanding of French history, architecture, and art. Plus, why not visit the world-famous Disneyland® Paris? It’s little wonder that this fascinating city is such a popular choice for French language study tours.

Overall, whether it’s your pupils’ first time abroad or a return visit, Paris promises to make learning a language an exciting and unforgettable experience!

Top visits on a French language school trip to Paris

Le Stade de France

As part of our Paris language school trips, take your students behind-the-scenes of France’s premier stadium. Take a tour, in French or English, of the players’ tunnel, changing rooms, security facilities, pitch and photo museum.

Eiffel Tower

Paris’ best-known monument has outstanding city views, which on a clear day can stretch for 42 miles. On a French language school trip to Paris, students can identify many of the capital’s iconic landmarks from its viewing platforms, such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Seine River, and Sacré-Cœur.

Seine River Boat Cruise

An enjoyable river cruise along the Seine offers a relaxing and unique perspective on the iconic sights of Paris. As the boat glides past landmarks such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower, students can learn about each one from the French (or English) commentary on their headsets.

Montmartre & Sacré Coeur

Montmartre provides an opportunity for students to practise their language skills with its many street stalls and street artists, shops and cafés. Once a meeting place for artists in the late 19th and early 20th century, your group can also view artists painting portraits and caricatures for the tourists and enjoy a spectacular view of Paris from the steps of the Sacré Coeur.

Notre Dame Cathedral

After 5 years of restoration, this stunning cathedral is reopening its doors following the devastating fire in 2019. This stunning cathedral, like all medieval churches, was painted on the inside so a largely illiterate population could learn the Bible stories. The use of colour was meant to glorify God and breathe life into the scriptures. This stunning and imposing building is a must-see in Paris, particularly as the cathedral has witnessed many important ceremonies for Christianity and the history of nations.

Fragonard Perfumery

Discover the art of French perfume-making with a free guided tour of the renowned Fragonard Perfumery, available in your choice of French or English. Students will explore the museum to learn about the history and techniques of fragrance production, from the extraction of raw materials to the creation of iconic scents.

Château Versailles

During a French language school trip to Paris, students can explore the spectacular Château de Versailles, one of the most famous royal palaces in the world and the site of numerous historic events, including the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Your group will have the chance to marvel at the opulent architecture, from the Hall of Mirrors to the lavish royal apartments, gaining insight into France’s royal history and the grandeur of 17th-century design.

Louvre Museum

Probably the most famous museum in the world and home to some of the finest collections of antiquities, sculpture and art. It is the ideal place for students to see the prominent role that art plays in French culture. The museum is also home to cafés and shops where students can practise language skills too.

Centre Pompidou

Closing Summer 2025 until 2030

On Paris language school trips, take a guided tour of this world-famous art gallery, renowned not only for its impressive collection but also for its bold, modern French architecture. Outside, the lively square comes alive with street artists, musicians, and performers, offering students a vibrant taste of local culture. Just a short stroll away, the playful Stravinsky Fountain, with its colourful moving sculptures, adds an extra highlight to this dynamic and inspiring visit.
