New to our Religious Studies visits programme in 2007, Amsterdam offers a lower cost option for school or college groups.

Our 4 day trip takes provides a range of fascinating visits to complement their studies. Options to travel by both coach & ferry and by air are available. As a popular destination for Art groups you could consider a joint departmental visit.

Amsterdam

Day 1

Travel to Amsterdam and check-in to your accommodation. Time permitting, free time for independent sightseeing, followed by an evening meal.

Day 2

Visit to Anne Frank's House, including an introductory presentation or undertake an educational programme. Visit to the Van Gogh Museum, home to the world's largest collection of Van Gogh paintings, followed by either a 45-minute guided city coach tour or an hour-long canal cruise.

Day 3

Visit the Jewish Museum, with its exhibitions dedicated to Jewish history, religion and culture. Observe the Portuguese Synagogue, preserved in its original state and still a functioning synagogue. Afternoon visit to the Wertheim Park, where an annual commemoration ceremony is held, and observe the 'Mirror Monument'. Visit to the Dutch Theatre Museum, a former deportation centre for the persecuted Jewish community, now a monument for those who died.

Day 4

Depart your accommodation after breakfast for your return journey.
