Gerlitzen is an ideal ski resort for beginners and improving skiers, making it a perfect choice for school ski trips. The resort has excellent areas for beginners to practise their skills, as well as safe runs and well-groomed slopes.

Gerlitzen, translated from "Fire Mountain" is the name of the mountain on the resort. The mountain is just under 2,000 metres and is renowned for being one of Austria's best vistas. From the top, the ski resort lies at your feet and you can ski down in all directions.

Booking a school ski trip to Gerlitzen

Gerlitzen has a modest altitude and the winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,000m and 1,911m. This ski resort is ideal for school trips and beginners because:

  • Slopes are wide and safe
  • Slopes are well-manicured
  • 13.1km of beginner slopes on the resort
  • Practice lifts near base
  • Après ski activities to enjoy

Substantial investment has been made to produce artificial snow, meaning that Gerlitzen is usually open from early December until late April.
