New for 2021! We’re bringing Psychology LIVE! to the UK taking place at our activity centre in Liddington.
Psychology LIVE! UK combines a conference led by expert speakers, workshops & talks, team-based challenges and outdoor adventure activities. See our great value 3-day itinerary below.
This three-day weekend event will allow students to grasp the fundamentals of human behaviours in action whilst providing relevant examples and case studies for exams. Students will also enhance their ability to work together as a team, improve self-confidence, develop resilience and learn new skills.

Our expert speakers, who are specialist in their field, will present the most current issues with presentations linked to key topics covered in the AQA, OCR and Edexcel A-Level curriculum. Throughout the course of the weekend your learners will cover the fundamentals of the psychology curriculum at KS4 and KS5, perfectly complementing classroom learning.
Students can also put their own questions to the experts during a Q&A session.

Dr Peter Lovatt (aka Dr Dance), Psychologist
Dr Peter Lovatt is a principal lecturer and Reader in Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, where he runs the Dance Psychology Lab.
Peter’s expertise is in experimental cognitive psychology and his work on memory, thinking, mood, language learning, problem solving, dance and Parkinson’s has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals. During his talk he will explain how changing the way we think can change our lives and he explains how the way we move influences our creativity and problem-solving ability and is influenced by your hormonal and genetic makeup.
Peter recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in order to ‘give the biggest lecture of his life’ as well as to experience what it felt like, psychologically, going through a reality TV audition.
His talk will energise the room and is guaranteed to get you moving!
Dr John Allan
Dr John Allan is a psychologist, Adventure Education practitioner and outdoor leader.
He specialises in the area of positive psychology, resilience-building and strength-based learning in sports pedagogy.
John leads undergraduate, post-graduate programmes and supervises doctoral students in psychology, behavioural modification and adventure education. He has led the world’s largest study profiling the psychological resilience of Higher Education Inductees and developed a range of intervention programmes for enabling the strength-based functioning of students, elite mountaineers, military personnel and asylum seekers / refugees.
John is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an active member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning, and British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES). His research outputs have included international and national journal publications, book chapters, keynote addresses, conference symposiums, presentations and on-line teaching and learning packages specifically designed for students.
Prof Craig Jackson
As Professor of Occupational Health Psychology, Craig is interested in the effect of workplaces and working on people’s health and psychological wellbeing. He also increasingly researches the relationship between work and crime – particularly how offenders use their occupations to facilitate offending behaviours and this has led to an increase in research using statistical techniques such as multidimensional scaling of offence behaviours.
Craig contributed to both of the leading UK textbooks on occupational health and many Health and Safety Executive reports.
Specific interests include unusual occupations, work-related suicide, technology change, pesticide exposures, working hours, stress, research techniques, neurobehavioural methods and psychological assessments.
Craig is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (University of Birmingham); Research Director of an independent health research consultancy; and a Member of the ESRC Peer Review College. He is also a former Associate editor of Occupational & Environmental Medicine (a BMJ journal); Vice-Chair of various NHS Local Research Ethics Committees, and former editor in Chief of the International Journal of Rural Psychology.
