  • Take a canal cruise, like the majority of NST groups visiting the city
  • See Van Gogh’s famous ‘Sunflowers’ painting, or visit another of Amsterdam’s fascinating museums
  • Tour the Ajax Stadium
Zaanse Schans Windmill Village

A delightful old hamlet on the banks of the river Zaan.

  • See windmills, visit several museums, and the visitors’ centre
  • Take a boat trip on the river
  • Enjoy a daily clog making demonstration at the Wooden Shoe Workshop

Cross-Curricular Learning

Noordwijk Space Expo - Ideal for Science groups

This exciting space centre is sure to appeal to your pupils, with its exhibition about the past, present and future of space exploration.

  • Learn about the European Space Programme

  • See how astronauts live and work in space
Euromast Tower, Rotterdam

Why not make a space flight offering amazing views of Rotterdam and the world’s largest port. The adventure begins the moment you enter the Euromast. The high speed automatic lifts are an experience in themselves. Next, experience a real rocket launch in the Space Adventure, which slowly rotates to a height of 185 metres. The cabin then returns to the platform with the aid of ‘retrorockets’.

Activity Based Learning

Clara Maria Cheese & Clog Farm

A 150 year-old cheese farm where the world famous Gouda cheese is still manufactured in the traditional way. Also on-site is the clog manufacturer, cutting the traditional wooden shoes from blocks of wood.

Madurodam Miniature Village

Visit this miniature version of a town, composed of typical Dutch buildings and landmarks. This major Dutch tourist attraction has been visited by tens of millions of visitors since it was opened in 1952.
