Science Museum
The Science Museum is packed with awe-inspiring galleries, inspirational exhibitions and interactive resources. Here, your group can explore the galleries such as Launch Pad, where students can explore science and technology first-hand with 50 hands-on exhibits and shows. The museum also regularly runs a series of events and shows covering all elements of science and has a great range of free educational resources available
The Natural History Museum
Study a range of themes including climate change, evolution and the natural environment, helping to give your students an understanding of the impact that science has on their lives. Here, you can also visit the new Darwin Centre and watch a pre-booked 50-minute interactive film entitled ‘Who do you think you really are?’. Afterwards, explore the human biology gallery, for an insight into the human body.

L’Oreal Young Scientist Centre
Devoted to science education and research, The Royal Institution will give your students the opportunity to explore the world-changing science that's taken place since 1799. Aiming to promote curiosity and investigation-led learning, this modern laboratory offers advanced technology, use of equipment not used at school level and experiments outside of the normal school remit. The centre has a fascinating range of full and half day workshops including:

Centre of the Cell
Placing science in context, this is the first science education centre in the world to be located within medical laboratories. The Thames Barrier Visitor Centre

The nearest over-ground station is Rotherhithe, which is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the hostel.
