Key Visits

Walking Tour of Prague

A half day tour of Prague on foot and public transport with your NST guide will cover most of the major historical sites of the city: Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Malá Strana (including Church of St Mukulas) and the Castle District.

The Jewish District, Josefov

The centre of Jewish Prague prior to 1939 and one of the best preserved Jewish districts in Central Europe.

Old Jewish Cemetery

Europe’s oldest surviving Jewish cemetery and one of the most impressive sights in Prague, located in Josefov, the former Jewish district. There are over 12,000 gravestones and more than 100,000 Jews buried in layered graves at this cemetery.

Terezín

Former Nazi concentration camp of Theresianstadt. This preserved 18th century fortress and garrison town became, during the war, both a feeder camp for Auschwitz and a model camp where inspections by the International Red Cross took place. Visits can include The Little Fortress, the Ghetto Museum and the Magdeburg Barracks.

Wenceslas Square

Prague’s main boulevard and a regular parade ground for numerous organisations and political parties, including the November 1989 protest meetings, which led to the Velvet Revolution and the end of communist rule in Czechoslovakia.

Prague Castle

The largest medieval castle complex in Europe and one of the most impressive buildings in Prague with its unique architectural complex. Today, it is the seat of the President of the Czech Republic, serving as the historical and political centre of both city and state.

We can pre-book your meals at our great group prices to help your itinerary run smoothly.

Why not experience a Folklore evening with traditional Czech meal or dine in style with an evening river cruise with buffet meal.

NST Guide Lecturers

An increasing number of schools book a Guided Study Tour each year due to the recommendation of NST’s customers. Why not add an NST Guide Lecturer to your tour package. Your guide will:

  • Be selected from a specialist team to meet your exact visit requirements
  • Be a highly experienced and knowledgeable educationalist
  • Have a proven track record of delivering excellent results
  • Have an understanding of the needs of students and information delivery
  • Understand the pressures and requirements of Group Leaders

A Strong Teaching Background

All of our guides are ex-teachers with specific Religious Studies expertise. Their educational background and detailed knowledge of the current curriculum helps them to meet your specific needs. As former teachers they also understand the demands and requirements of organising educational visits.

Helping You to Prepare Your Ideal Itinerary

Our guides will contact you before your visit to discuss your learning objectives. They will then advise on the appropriate visits to build an itinerary that matches your specified objectives and enables your group to get the most out of every day.

More Time for One-to-One Teaching

With an NST Guide Lecturer leading the group you gain the opportunity to provide individual tuition and enjoy the visits with your students.

First Evening Talk

Your Guide Lecturer will provide an informal discussion on your first evening, setting the scene for the next few days. Helping students focus on the days to come and covering many general questions up front, this talk will allow more time for specific questions at each site.

Excellent Local Knowledge

Our guides can offer advice on practicalities such as public transport, food stops and evening leisure activities and are able to adapt tours due to changing weather conditions or to minimize queuing.
