La Calvadosienne, Asnelles - Ideal for Language groups

Pupils take a guided tour of this working Oyster Farm, watch how the process works before getting to taste this delicacy for themselves.

The Town Of Granville - Ideal for Language groups

The town is dominated by the Pointe du Roc. The Old Granville Museum will interest your pupils with its display of headdresses. The Church of our Lady, the Lighthouse and the Aquarium will also be of interest, and for groups wanting to practise their basic language skills, there is a market day on Saturdays.

Famous throughout the world, this embroidery on linen measures 70 metres and tells the story of the preparations for and the onset of William the Conqueror’s conquest of England. Guided tour in English or French.

D-Day Landing Beaches -  Ideal for History groups

Normandy, where the D-Day landings took place during WWII, is now home to a variety of state-of-the-art museums providing an excellent educational background of the events of 1944. Most suitable for Middle School pupils.

Mémorial de Caen (Caen Peace Museum) -  Ideal for History groups

This unique museum offers pupils the opportunity to take a historical journey through the 20th century, discovering major events from the end of the First World War to the fall of the Berlin Wall thanks to a comprehensive collection of photographs, posters, models and films, including an exceptional film on D-Day. The Mémorial is an exceptionally rich teaching aid with which to study our shared past and introduce an element of emotion and memory, using dynamic and diverse educational activities. The museum offers an option of educational notebooks, workshops and/or guided tours of the key D-day Landing sites.  Please ask us for details.

Lessay Camembert Factory - Ideal for Language groups

Visit the Val d’Ay Fromagerie where Réo Camembert is produced, along with hand-made butter and cream. Traditional methods are used with moulding by hand. A tour includes a guide through the workshops, the drying rooms and the packaging line. You will also view a video and enjoy a free tasting.

La Cité de la Mer (“City of the Sea”), Cherbourg - Ideal for Science groups

Discover the history of the ocean depths in this unique scientific, technological and cultural tourist attraction. Visit the world’s largest submarine that is open to the public, learn all about deep sea exploration and see Europe’s largest cylindrical aquarium. And new for 2012, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s stop in Cherbourg, an exhibition dedicated to Titanic and to emigration from the Old World to the New World.

Les Co-Pains Boulangerie, Cambremer -  Ideal for Language groups

This rustic bakery has an interactive guided tour, available in French or English, where groups split into two, the first group makes their own bread while the other takes a French food quiz, then they swap. Afterwards pupils can purchase freshly baked products.
