For experienced groups with a high standard of sacred or classical repertoire, here are our most popular options.

Cologne Cathedral

Choirs with sacred repertoires can sing at the largest Gothic church in northern Europe. As part of the midday prayer service choirs are invited to contribute three or four motets or anthems. For choral groups of a high standard it maybe possible to perform at evening mass.

Churches in Cologne

We have several high quality churches for groups to perform at in Cologne. These churches welcome choirs with a sacred repertoire only, and include:

• St Kunibert

• St Maria Ascension / St Mariä Himmelfahrt

• St Agnes

Summer Festivals

The Rhine valley offers a wealth of opportunities for music groups looking to participate in local festivals. Groups can represent their country as part of many international arts and cultural events or help add a musical twist to festivals focusing on the traditions of the region, including the River Rhine itself and local food and drink (particularly wine). There are a number of festivals taking place in July and a larger number of events in September. One of the most exciting events is the “Rhein in Flammen” which takes place in Bingen and Rüdesheim the first weekend in July, when the river is illuminated by fireworks!
