Axel Springer Publishing House
Axel Springer is Germany’s largest newspaper and third-largest magazine publisher. Students can see the company’s brand new state-of-the-art printing press in action, take a tour around the printing plant, and question a knowledgeable staff member on a visit to this impressive site.
Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg
Tours of this transmitting station, once used by the Russians, offer a unique insight into Berlin’s past as well as an overview of the workings of the TV and radio studios today. Your students (over 16s only) could very well see the filming of a soap opera, a quiz show, and more.
Babelsberg Film Studios
Over 3000 films have been shot at the famous Babelsberg UFA/DEFA studios, including Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927). The themepark surrounding the studios offers a glance behind-the-scenes with studio tours, exhibitions, costumes and enough action to keep you amused.
Berlin Film Museum
Take a journey through film history and learn about German cinema from 1895 to 1980. Experience great moments in broadcasting history as well as how the medium of television developed in East and West Germany, then venture through rooms full of famous props, costumes, set-designs and projection screens.
ARD – Hauptstadtstudio
On this studio tour, students will see how this TV and radio studio functions on a daily basis, from uncovering raw news to delivering finished stories to the viewers and listeners at home.
Berlinale International Film Festival 2013
Every February, the Berlin international film festival enjoys by far the largest audience of any film festival in the world. The festival is a showcase of what’s happening in cinema. Up to 400 films are shown every year as part of the Berlinale’s public programme, the vast majority of which are world or European premieres. Please call for further details.
The TV Tower
Berlin’s highest structure has fantastic views of the city from the gallery and revolving café. Your group can pinpoint the many landmarks and attend the free exhibition.
Berlin Wall
Students can see how East and West Berlin were divided for 28 years at Potsdamer Platz and the East Side Gallery, two of the remaining areas still accessible to see a section of the wall.
Wallmuseum-Haus at Checkpoint Charlie
The museum at this world-famous former West/East crossing point features interactive exhibitions and demonstrations of how individuals smuggled themselves across the border.
Olympic Stadium Tour

Aletto IIThe building dates from 1900 and was completely renovated and refurbished prior to re-opening as a hotel in 2005.
