Key Visits
Louvre Museum
This is probably the most famous museum in the world and home to some of the finest collections of antiquities, sculpture and art. This is the ideal place for students to see the prominent role that art plays in French culture.
Cité des Sciences
France’s largest planetarium has 30,000m² of interactive exhibits, exploring man’s experiences with science. There are two areas for groups to explore: Explora Exhibitions and The Géode offering a wide range of ‘hands on’ and interactive displays to engage your group.
Château Versailles
The Palace of Versailles has been the scene for several historic events, including the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Students can tour the Museum of French History before exploring the impressive 250-acre gardens.
Montmartre & Sacré Coeur
Montmartre provides an opportunity for students to practise their language skills with its many street stalls and street artists, shops and cafés. The impressive Sacré Coeur and its grounds also provide excellent free views over Paris.
Guided Tour of Paris
Tailor-made to your requirements this tour of Paris includes a dedicated French or English-speaking guide, who will help your group with their pronunciation and share their knowledge of the many sights of Paris. One of our groups’ favourites is the evening tour of the Paris Illuminations.
Leisure Visits
Eiffel Tower
Paris’ best-known monument has outstanding views of the city, which on a clear day can stretch for 42 miles, giving students the chance to pinpoint its many landmarks. As Paris experts, we will recommend the best time to visit and pre-book your tickets to avoid the long queues.
Seine River Boat Cruise
This enjoyable river cruise is a safe and relaxing way to see the sights of Paris. Students also learn from the French (or English) commentary via their individual headsets.
Montparnasse 56 Panoramic Visit (the 56th floor & roof terrace of the Montparnasse Tower)
This 196m tower has shorter queues than the Eiffel Tower with fabulous views of Paris. The viewpoint tables clearly mark the city’s many famous monuments. There are also a number of audio-visual and interactive facilities to help build language skills and enhance their knowledge of Paris.
Le Stade de France
Take your students behind the scenes of France’s premier stadium. Take a tour, in French or English, of the players’ tunnel, changing rooms, security facilities, pitch and museum.
Centre Pompidou
The dramatic architecture of the museum holds a unique collection of 20th century art covering the principal movements, a must for students across all key stages. Study services include gallery tours and audio guided tours.
Parc Astérix
This typically French theme park is home to over 30 outside attractions, all based around the famous Astérix comic-strips, and is a fantastic alternative to Disneyland® Paris. Parc Astérix is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and incorporates rides and themes from ancient cultures such as the Romans and the Gauls, including:
- Tonnerre de Zeus, a wooden roller coaster, top-rated in Europe
- Goudurix, a large steel multi-looping coaster
