This page contains some additional information relevant to planning your overseas visit.

Supplying the Right Name

When submitting your passenger list to your NST Tour Consultant, please ensure the name on the passenger list matches the name on the passport. For air travel, we supply these names to the airline. If the airline ticket and passports don’t match you will encounter problems at check-in / customs and this may result in delays, extra costs and even prevention of travel. Please ask you tour consultant for details.

Parental / Guardian Consent

Remember, where the parents of some children are separated / divorced, you are likely to need consent from both parents for the child to leave the UK. In some cases the child may also reside in the care of their local social services, but still require parental consent to actually leave the UK. Please consult your LEA and UK Passport Office as appropriate.

Before and during your journey:

  • Keep a note of your / your group’s  passport numbers, date and place of issue in a safe place separate from your passports. For example, leave photocopies at your school/college
  • If there is a protected hotel safe, leave your passport there during your stay and carry photocopies with you
  • Immediately contact the nearest British consulate or embassy if your passport or that of a member of your group is lost or stolen overseas
  • Don’t forget to check your passport expiry date
  • Take contact details for next of kin and leave a copy with a friend or relative carry another identity document which has your picture on it
  • Take the contact details of the British consulate or Embassy in the country your are visiting with you on tour, in case of emergency.
