Raising The Standard in Educational Visits (LEA home page)

NST is the largest and one of the most highly regarded educational travel companies in the UK. Whilst we are a commercial organisation, we understand the huge importance of safety when taking young children and older students outside of school to experience learning in a range of different environments.

What is the LEA section of our website all about?

The aim of this section is to support the development of closer working relationships between NST and LEAs (inc Outdoor Education Advisors and Health & Safety professionals) throughout the UK.

Why do we want to do this?

Two essential elements of the educational visits travel service that we provide are SAFETY and EDUCATIONAL CONTENT. We want to continue to push for higher standards in both of these areas, but to do so, we need to continue to work with Government, LEAs and other industry professionals.

NST pioneered a safety management system for school tour operators back in 1994 and has since led the way in setting new industry standards. NST also now operates 13 subject based travel programmes for Secondary schools plus a dedicated programme for Primary schools.
