3 day Ypres Salient & The Somme

(Based at Ypres)

The 3 day itinerary provides an great opportunity to spend the maximum time on the poetry relating to the sites of the two major attritional battles of WW1.

Day 1

Half day at Ypres Salient including Last Post Ceremony. Visits can include the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall, St. Georges Hall, Yorkshire Trench, Essex Farm, Artillery Wood Cemetery, Hill 60, Sanctuary Wood, Tyne Cot and Langemark.

Day 2

Full day at The Somme visiting a range of sites – Fricourt, Devonshire Trench, Mametz & Danzig Alley cemetery, Guillemont Road Cemetery, Delville Wood, High Wood, Tanks Corps Memorial, Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval Wood, Ulster Tower, Newfoundland Park, Serre Rd.  No.2 and Sheffield Park.

Day 3

Ypres Salient – visits from list under Day 1.
