By taking a trip to Andaluica, students will be able to see how successive invaders, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths and Moors, have all left their indelible mark.

There is abundant physical evidence of the Moorish legacy, in the splendour of the Alhambra in Granada and the Mezquita in Córdoba, and in ruined fortresses and elaborate tile work. Andalucia was also an important centre of Jewish culture, with significant settlements in Seville, Granada, and Córdoba, the birthplace of Maimonides, and home to the country's second oldest synagogue.

NST offer opportunities to:

  • Take a tour round Seville Cathedral, the world’s largest gothic structure
  • Explore Alcazar, palace of Seville’s Moorish rulers
  • Visit Mezquita, the world’s 3rd biggest Arabbian mosque which was bulit in the ‘Califal’ style
  • Immerse students in a voyage of discovery of the New World at Isla Magica
  • Marvel at the world- renowned Alhambra Palace
