Earn while you Learn with one of our Apprenticeship Opportunities...

Our Educational Travel Brands have been supporting the development of young people for nearly 50 years with the inspiring educational travel opportunities we provide through the tours we create and deliver to schools and colleges.

In 2011, as part of our commitment to the development of young people, we launched our apprenticeship programme in partnership with one of our local colleges, to offer young people that chance to develop a career in the travel industry.

Since it's launch, a number of our apprenticeship graduates have moved into permanent roles in our offices, and are set to develop a long and fulfilling career with us, and where our apprentice's have chosen to move on, they have felt prepared and ready to embark on the next stage of their career.

Our apprenticeship programme is currently only available at our Blackpool Head Office in Lancashire, however we hope to expand the programme to offer opportunities at our other locations in the UK.

Our History Guide Lecturers have a passion for the past, and share their enthusiasm and knowledge to help students and teachers to get the most out of their time away from the classroom.

Visiting destinations including The World War I Battlefields, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Russia to name but a few, our History Guide Lecturers help students to develop specialist knowledge by delivering talks, provide access to artifacts, and leading tours and visits that enlighten and stimulate learning for both Teachers and Students travelling with NST.

My Apprenticeship with NST Rachelle - Tour Consultant - StudyLink

"I knew I always wanted to work in the travel industry, but was really unclear on what I wanted to do.

I heard about the opportunities to become an Apprentice with NST from my tutor. I decided to go for the assessment day to find out more and was delighted when, after my interview, I was offered a place on their Business and Administration programme as a customer data researcher.

Studying alongside working is a big commitment, and a lot of hard work, but NST gave me 1 day each week, where I could either stay in the office to focus on my studies, or go into college. They helped me settle into the team and my role, and encouraged my development.

Since completing my qualification in summer 2014 I have been offered a permanent role in the NST Sales administration team, and in June 2015, I was offered a temporary promotion to the StudyLink Customer Services Team, dealing with customers directly and planning their tours for them.

NST has given me a great opportunity to build a career in the industry I have always wanted to be a part of.

I would definitely recommend NST as somewhere to apply to if you are considering an apprenticeship rather than University. Even if you haven't thought about a career in the Travel Industry, there are so many different areas of the business you can potentially get involved in, and the support they give you really helps you to gain the confidence to succeed.
