Centre for Alternative Technology Residential Experience, Mid-Wales
This fantastic experience offers primary groups an incredible insight into self-sustaining, environmentally-friendly living. Our programme has been specially designed in conjunction with The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) to offer a unique eye-opening experience, exploring possibilities for truly environmental living based at a 7-acre site with interactive displays.
Your pupils will stay in well insulated, centrally heated, hostel style accommodation and will learn how the hot water is heated by the wood stove or the roof mounted solar panels. They can also learn how the electricity is generated by renewable resources such as photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and water turbines.
