CAEN PEACE MUSEUM Location : Normandy A journey into the heart of the 20th century history, passing through WWII, the Cold War and the World Today. A school visit can include a 30-minute D-Day and the Battle of Normandy film. History notebooks in English can be provided to pupils. MEMORIAL ‘PEGASUS’ MUSEUM Location : Normandy The capture of this bridge over the Caen Canal was vital to the success of the British airborne assault on D Day and the story of the glider attack that achieved this has become one of the most famous of the day. The original bridge was replaced when the canal was widened but it may still be seen in the excellent Airborne Museum nearby. |  |
